Nepal's Under-19 women's team has a busy November ahead, with the Cricket Association of Nepal confirming tours of China and India as the final major preparation window before the 2027 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup.

Nepal U19 Women's China and India tour confirmed

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has confirmed that the national Under-19 women's team will play two international tournaments in November 2026 as preparation for the ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup. According to a CAN press release issued by secretary Paras Khadka, the side will first travel to China for the Belt and Road U19 Girls T20I from November 3 to 8, then take part in a tri-series in Bangalore, India.

The announcement, reported by the NPL's official site, makes November the final major international preparation window for the young squad, with the World Cup beginning less than three months after the Bangalore series ends. It continues a packed period for Nepali cricket, with the NPL Season 3 schedule starting on October 26 and Nepal also hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-Off in December, as covered in our report on the December play-off.

Belt and Road Series schedule and format

The China event is a four-team T20 International quadrangular hosted at the Shaxi Town Cricket Centre in Taicang, featuring hosts China alongside Nepal, Hong Kong and Thailand. It is the second edition of the U19 Belt and Road series after the inaugural tournament in 2019, and carries the same name as the senior women's tournament held in September 2026.

All four teams play each other twice in a double round-robin group stage, with the team finishing top of the points table winning the title. Fans can follow every result through live scores as the double round-robin unfolds. Nepal's confirmed fixtures are: November 3, 1:00 PM vs Thailand; November 4, 8:30 AM vs China; November 5, 8:30 AM vs Hong Kong, China; November 6, 12:30 PM vs Thailand; November 7, 8:30 AM vs China; and November 8, 8:30 AM vs Hong Kong, China.

India tri-series in Bengaluru

From Bangalore, the squad heads to the Centre of Excellence for a tri-series against India A and India B women's Under-19 teams. The published schedule lists: November 12, 1:00 PM, India B vs Nepal; November 14, 1:00 PM, India A vs Nepal; November 18, 1:00 PM, India B vs Hong Kong, China; November 20, 1:00 PM, India A vs Nepal; and the finals on November 22.

Facing two Indian development sides offers exactly the test Nepal need. India are the defending U19 women's world champions, and exposure to their structures and intensity will be invaluable for a young Nepali squad preparing to face the champions again in the group stage of the home World Cup.

Road to the 2027 U19 Women's T20 World Cup

Nepal will co-host the 2027 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup with Bangladesh from January 21 to February 6. The hosts have been placed in Group A alongside defending champions India, Ireland and the West Indies, with all of Nepal's group-stage games scheduled at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur. With home advantage and big crowds expected, broadcast and streaming arrangements for the youth World Cup will be watched closely once CAN confirms them.

The World Cup is the culmination of a landmark stretch at the Kirtipur venue, which faces six busy months spanning NPL Season 3, the World Cup Qualifier Play-Off and the youth World Cup. CAN has not yet released the squad for either November series, so fans should watch this space — and follow the senior side's momentum after Nepal's sixth-place finish in League 2 — as the squad begins its final World Cup push.
