About Shubham Ranjane
Shubham Ranjane is a USA international all-rounder, born in Pune, who Biratnagar Kings re-signed as an overseas player for Season 3 after his 2025 stint.
The grandson of former India Test cricketer Vasant Ranjane, he broke through in MLC 2025 with 268 runs at an average of 67 for Texas Super Kings and made his T20I debut for the USA against India in February 2026.
The India-to-USA arc has texture: bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 20 lakh ahead of the 2019 IPL season, 654 domestic T20 runs in 30 innings in India, then a national-team switch crowned by a maiden T20I fifty — 51 from 30 balls against Pakistan — after his 7 February 2026 debut against India at Wankhede.
He bats right-handed, bowls right-arm medium and is expected to bat at five or six.

Playing style and strengths
Ranjane is a right-hand middle-order batter whose MLC 2025 returns — 268 runs at 67 across eight innings with two half-centuries — mark him as an anchor-finisher: a player who can rebuild after early wickets and still close an innings, as his 51 from 30 balls against Pakistan for the USA confirmed at international level.
His right-arm medium is the honest second skill of a batting all-rounder: two or three overs of cutters and changes of pace in the middle phase, the sixth-bowler option that lets a captain balance the side. Re-signed after his 2025 Kings stint, he is a known quantity in this dressing room — a senior overseas professional whose game is built on composure rather than fireworks.
Shubham Ranjane's role at Biratnagar Kings in Season 3
Ranjane is the senior overseas all-rounder and a locked-in middle-order name: re-signed after 2025, expected to bat five or six, and the experienced head in a finishing group that includes the 15-lakh domestic buy Rupesh Singh and retained Narayan Joshi. His role is to give the innings a spine — if the top order fires, he closes; if it fails, he rebuilds.
His two-in-one value shapes the whole XI: a batter who bowls right-arm medium lets Sandeep Lamichhane pick an extra specialist — a third spinner on a turning Kirtipur track, or an extra seamer — without losing batting depth. As one of only two overseas signings alongside Charith Asalanka, and with Asalanka batting above him at four or five, the Kings’ middle order is built on international experience — and Ranjane’s 2025 season in these colours means the fit is proven, not projected.
