Naren Saud is a Nepal Under-19 bowler who Biratnagar Kings bought for NPR 5 lakh at the NPL Season 3 auction, joint second-highest among their buys. He spent the 2025 season inside Sudurpaschim Royals' squad, gaining a franchise education from the bench. He was named in Nepal's fifteen-member squad for the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in late 2024, alongside fellow Kings buy Aprajit Poudel. The Kings paid the 5-lakh Category B base price on 6 July.
In the Nepal Premier League 2026, he arrives as a young bowling prospect the franchise clearly rates, with a year of NPL squad experience already behind him.
About Naren Saud
Naren Saud is a young Nepal Under-19 bowler who Biratnagar Kings bought for NPR 5 lakh at the Season 3 auction, joint second-highest among their buys.
He spent the 2025 season inside Sudurpaschim Royals’ squad, gaining a franchise education from the bench, and was named in Nepal’s squad for the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup alongside fellow Kings buy Aprajit Poudel.
That 2025 season with the Royals is the key line on his CV: a full franchise campaign of training, travel and match-day preparation without the pressure of performance — the apprenticeship model that turns youth graduates into senior contributors. His selection in Nepal’s fifteen-member ACC Under-19 Asia Cup squad in late 2024 confirmed the youth pedigree the Kings paid for.
Season 3 is where he must turn that promise into match performance behind Pratish GC.

Playing style and strengths
Saud is listed simply as a bowler, and the public record offers no verified detail on his type — so the honest assessment is role-based. A 5-lakh Category B fee, joint second-highest of the Kings’ auction buys, says the franchise projects him as a future XI bowler rather than a base-price punt, and his year inside the Sudurpaschim Royals’ 2025 squad means he has already been schooled in franchise preparation standards.
What the role will demand is T20 bowling’s core curriculum: hitting hard lengths, owning one phase — new-ball swing, middle-overs squeeze or death execution — and fielding to the standard of a side built around athletic all-rounders. His Under-19 Asia Cup selection alongside Aprajit Poudel marks him as a wicket-taker at youth level; the Season 3 question is whether that translates against senior batters who punish anything loose.
Naren Saud's role at Biratnagar Kings in Season 3
Saud’s Season 3 role is development with intent: the young bowler behind Pratish GC in the Kings’ pace pecking order, there to learn the trade from a three-campaign new-ball leader while being genuinely next in line. The 5-lakh fee is the tell — you do not pay joint second-highest money for a net bowler.
His pathway mirrors his 2025 education: start as squad depth, earn trust in training and warm-ups, and be ready when rotation, conditions or injury open a door. With only Pratish GC as an established domestic quick and Narayan Joshi and Rupesh Singh offering part-time seam, there is a real vacancy for a second specialist seamer to emerge — and Saud, alongside the Under-19 spin investment in Aprajit Poudel, is the youth side of the Kings’ bowling future.
